Fire Ban In Huron-Kinloss, West Wawanosh And Ashfield Townships

Huron-Kinloss, West Wawanosh and Ashfield townships have all been issued a complete fire and burn ban today says Lucknow Fire Chief Peter Steer.

The chief says the ground is far too dry, and campgrounds in the area were allowing small cooking fires. Steer says some local residents were complaining that those in campgrounds could still have small fires, so the fire department has decided to go with a full fire and burn ban until further notice for the entire area.

Chief Steer says he will notify CKNX when the ban is lifted.
