Goderich Negotiating For Future Recycling Depot

The town of Goderich is looking for a location for what would be a community recycling and hazardous waste depot for the future.

CAO Larry McCabe points out it would not be for conventional refuse or road-side waste. They are negotiating a memorandum of understanding with Central Huron and Huron East for a similar facility within the current Mid-Huron site in Holmesville.

McCabe expects those negotiations will be successful, but in the event the town needs a site in the future it makes sense to have a suitable location identified.

McCabe also points out that identifying a site and getting it approved is a fairly long process so it makes sense to start well before it's needed.
