Additional Sexual Assault Charge Against Clifford Man

A Clifford man is facing another charge stemming from an OPP investigation into historical sexual assault allegations.

David Winkel, 44, was charged last month with several offenses.

Earlier this week, another person made a complaint to the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit about an assault that occurred at a farm in Morris-Turnberry in 2001.

Winkel is facing a new charge of sexual assault.

He was charged last month with sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference with a person under 16, and invitation to sexual touching under 16.  Those charges stem from alleged incidents that involved a young girl in the summer of 2012.

Winkel is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 26.
