SIU Ends Hanover Investigation

The SIU says Hanover Police were not responsible for the injuries suffered by a 51-year old man during an arrest on June 26.

Police first responded to a call on 6th St. and then near the intersection of 8th St., and 17th Ave. The 51-year old was apprehended just after midnight on the Sunday in June after police received calls about a man acting strangely.

The man was taken to hospital and diagnosed with a broken collar bone.

The SIU says there is no evidence that police were responsible for the injury.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
