Wingham Booze Theft Suspects Arrested In Hanover

Hanover police have charged three women from the Kitchener-Waterloo area in connection with alcohol stolen from the LCBO Store in Wingham.

Police say the women were stopped in Hanover on Saturday. Upon a search of their vehicle, police allege 48 bottles of booze were discovered. It's not yet clear whether the booze was stolen from multiple LCBO locations.

Police also recovered more items stolen from other stores and believe they came from numerous locations across Midwestern Ontario.

Total value of the stolen items is pegged at over $3,000.

The names of the accused have not been released by police.

Both the Wingham Police Service and West Grey Police Service assisted in the investigation, which remains ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
