Street Named After Arthur Veteran

A well-loved and highly respected member of the Arthur business community, John Walsh, will be honoured by having a new street named in his honour.

Walsh is a World War 2 veteran, a lifetime resident of Arthur, an active sports volunteer as well as being the founder of Walsh’s Pharmacy.

James Coffey the developer of a new subdivision, known as Eastridge Landing, requested the street naming.

Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox says honouring John Walsh is most appropriate for Arthur which is known as Canada’s Most Patriotic Village.
