Riders Hit The Track At Walton Transcan

The annual Walton Transcan Canadian Pro Am Motocross event gets underway this week.

Brett Lee says Wednesday is largely a practice day with the top amateurs getting underway and then continuing Thursday starting at 7:30am.

Lee says they'll race from 7:30am until 5pm every day including Saturday and then on Sunday the pros take over.

Lee says they got quite a bit of rain earlier this week but they knew it was coming so they rolled the track until it was rock hard and the rain just rolled off of it and they didn't open it until this morning.

So considering the amount of rain Lee says the track is in great shape.

He adds they're still watching closely to see what the rest of the week brings.

Practice starts at 8am in the morning on Sunday.

Lee says one of the things they've added this year is tail-gating parties. Lee says fans who arrive early on Sunday will have no trouble getting a spot right beside the track.
