Conners In 18th At National Capital Open

Listowel's Corey Conners shot a 4-under 67 in his opening round of the National Capital Open to Support Our Troops.

The latest stop on the MacKenzie Tour is in Ottawa at the Hylands Golf Course.

Conners is in a tie for 18th place. Mike Miller is a lone atop the leaderboard at 8-under 63.  There are eight golfers tied for second.

Conners round included a bogey on the second hole; birdies on the 4th, 9th and 11th;  and and eagle on the 15th hole.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
