Perth Ride Check Forces Taxi Off Road

Perth County OPP say seven adult passengers in a Taxi Cab stopped at a ride program were charged for drinking other than residence.

The West Perth cabby was charged with driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available. And then OPP learned the cab licence plates were not registered to the vehicle. So the driver was warned, and the cab owner was issued a summons for using plates not authorized.

The cab was towed from the scene, and the driver and seven passengers had to find another way to their destination

OPP set up the ride check on Line 32 at Road 150 between Sebringville and Mitchell about 9:30 Saturday night.

No drivers were found to be impaired .
