North Huron Upgrading Town Hall Theatre

North Huron has a plan in place to renovate the facilities at Town Hall Theatre.

The 2nd floor will have a fire sprinkler installed, as well as council looking into renovated HVAC capabilities. CAO Sharon Chambers says it's important to make these upgrades now.

"Back in I believe 2014, there was an inspection of that facility and it was shut down because of fire code issues," says Chambers. "It's a public occupancy facility, so we need to address those issues before we open the Town Hall again for public occupancy."

On top of the sprinklers, the HVAC is being looked into.

"We're also looking at HVAC to make sure that the facility is more comfortable for our patrons once we get it open."

Georgian Bay Fire and Safety will be responsible for installing the new fire safety measures in the Town Hall Theatre.
