Howick Will Issue New Permanent Dog Tags Next Year

Howick township will be moving to a system of permanent dog tags starting next year.

Starting at the beginning of 2017, owners will be issued invoices and required to pay the registration fee.

There will also be an annual registration fee for the permanent tag.

The tag will be issued for the life of the dog, or until it is no longer in possession of the owner of the tag.

Lost and destroyed tags will be issued for a fee.

There will be no refunds or rebates for any portion of the licensing fees.

Last year the township made $9,657 in revenue off of dog tags.
