North Stars Hold Year End Awards Ceremony

The Senior B Lacrosse Owen Sound North Stars held their Year End Awards Ceremony over the weekend.

Zach Thompson was the Regular Season MVP. He played in 11 games, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 22 more.

Travis Szabolcs was the Top Scorer for the North Stars. He played in 16 games, scoring 15 goals and assisting on 19 more for a total of 34 points.

Playoff MVP honours were shared by Adam Jackson and Ken Coulson.

Brett Kloepfer was named Rookie of the Year. Kloepfer had 18 goals and 6 assists over 16 games for the North Stars.

Adam Jackson and Ken Coulson tied for Most Sportsman Like Player.

Defensive Player of the Year went to Miller Rusbridge.

Charlie Merrifield and Patt Sutton shared the President's Award and Drew Quinlan was named Coach's Choice.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
