Truck Stolen In Broad Daylight

Provincial police in Perth County are trying to locate a suspect following a brazen daylight theft.

The OPP say a black 2000 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck was stolen from the front parking lot of Stratford Farm Equipment, located on Hwy. 8 just west of Stratford around 6pm on Tuesday.

Police say a woman with dark hair was seen approaching the truck, getting in the passenger side before driving away eastbound along Hwy. 8 towards Stratford.

She was wearing a black muscle shirt, dark shorts and white runners.

Police say the truck was unlocked at the time and the keys had been left inside the truck; the theft also happened during daylight hours in a place that is quite busy with highway traffic.

The stolen truck is described as:

  • Black 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck
  • Ontario licence plates AE76983 attached
  • Has a grey tailgate
  • Long box
  • Loud exhaust

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
