Charges Laid In North Perth Drug Bust

Two people from North Perth have been arrested following a drug bust at a home in Atwood, south of Listowel.

Perth County OPP along with members of the Drug Enforcement Unit and West Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on Tuesday at a home on Main St.

Police discovered marijuana and cannabis resin worth an estimated $30,000 in street value. Other drug related paraphernalia, including items used to produce/make drugs, was seized along with a prohibited weapon.

Joseph Befurt, 36, and Amanda Donohue, 33, have been charged with the following offences:

  • Production of marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of cannabis resin (solid)
  • Possession of cannabis resin (liquid)
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
Both individuals are due to appear in a Listowel Court October 5, 2016.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
