Cause Of Clinton Apartment Fire Deemed To Be Arson

A recent fire in an apartment building in Clinton has been confirmed as arson.

The fire started in the morning on Sunday, at an apartment building on Albert St., and local fire crews responded to small fires at the same structure on the Monday and Tuesday. Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office believe at least one of these subsequent fires was set intentionally.

OPP Forensic Identification Services are investigating the scene. Police would like anyone with information regarding the fire to come forward.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
