Grey-Bruce Alzheimer's Society Hosting Beatles Tribute Concert

The Grey-Bruce Alzheimer's Society is hosting a benefit concert featuring the music of the Fab Four.

Community Development Coordinator Bill Twaddle gave details on the Beatles tribute concert.

"The show is at the OSCVI Auditorium on Thursday, January 5 at 7:30pm. The Beatles tribute band The Caverners are coming, and they're the best Beatles tribute band around," he says. "This is through a company called Connect Marketing. We have had two events with them before and they've been great."

Twaddle says that the Grey-Bruce Alzheimer's Society does a lot of work like this to help raise awareness about the dementia, inducing disease.

"We are a service organization," he says. "We provide education, information, support and counselling services for individuals with dementia, their families, and care givers."

Tickets may be obtained from the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce office at 753 2nd Ave. E in Owen Sound or from Connect Marketing at 1-800-516-5810. Prices will soon be announced.
