One Injured After Horse-Drawn Buggy Flips In Southgate

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday around 8:48am, an axle horse-drawn vehicle was travelling east on Southgate Rd. 26, when the sound of tractor trailer’s air-brakes caused the horse to bolt into the ditch, where the vehicle rolled over. Both occupants in the buggy were ejected.

The driver of the horse-drawn buggy, a 17-year old male, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger, a 19 year old male, was not injured. Both teens are from Wallenstein.
