UPDATE: Power Restored In Owen Sound

Power has been restored to a large section of Owen Sound.

A malfunction at the transformer at Alexandra School caused the initial outage just before 8:00 o'clock. Over five thousand Hydro One customers were affected.

Electricity was restored shortly after 9:00.

City police are encouraging family or friends to contact any vulnerable residents who are living on their own and utilize medical machinery or instruments that may have been affected by the outage to ensure it is functional.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
