Clinton was the centre of Huron County as the London Knights and Erie Otters showcased their skills during an OHL exhibition game.
It was a sold out crowd of 1,400 people in the Eastlink Arena with more gathered at the Clinton Raceway to watch on the big screen and the Memorial Cup sitting in the lobby of the arena.
Central Huron mayor Jim Ginn says it shows how municipal infrastructure can play role.
"It's not just an arena or community centre, it's a place where people not only can come to but it's a sense of pride for the community," says Ginn. "We've done a lot of building in this part of the town of Clinton."
Organizer Brent Scrimgeour was ecstatic with the turn out for not only the game but the festivities before hand.
"I've put the feelers out there to see if maybe we can one up this next year. But that's a conversation we'll have and hopefully everything will be positive," says Scrimgeour.
Erie beat London 5-2.
