Bluewater Looking For New Facilities Manager

The municipality of Bluewater is looking for a new facilities manager.

Mayor Tyler Hessel explains they've had facility managers in the past, but the position was never clearly defined. He says the position, as council has now defined it, would require someone who would look after all of the municipality's facilities, not just things like the arena and ball diamonds.

The new facilities manager would be more involved in the asset management of those facilities, as well as looking for grants and conducting the energy audits on all of the facilities. Hessel adds council felt it was time to get someone in place that could oversee the operations of all of the facilities with a clear job description that outlines the expectations of council.

Hessel says council also approved a new and more detailed job description for the manager of corporate services/clerk position.
