Owen Sound Warns Of Door-To-Door Water Treatment Sales

The City of Owen Sound is warning residents that door-to-door water treatment sales people are not city employees.

The city also reminds residents that they are not obligated to provide water samples to any private individuals.

They stress the municipal water system in the City of Owen Sound treats water in accordance to the Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standards.

Police have received numerous reports about the water treatment sales.

If you have been approached in an inappropriate way you should call Owen Sound police at 519-376-1234.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
