Major Capital Campaign For Huron Christian School

A significant expansion and renovation is planned for the Huron Christian School in Clinton.

The school's board of directors has approved a capital campaign called "Same Foundation, Next Generation," to raise an estimated $3-million for the project.

Primary classrooms will be upgraded, the entrance, foyer and administrative office will be renovated, the stage in the gym will be repositioned, and a Performing Arts space will be added.

The Huron Christian School is hosting a community barbeque Friday evening at 6pm to launch the "Same Foundation, Next Generation" capital campaign.

The school has 160 students from across Huron County, serving 15 churches from nine different denominations.

2016 marks the 55th year that Huron Christian School has been a community, and principal Nick Geleynse explains, "A lot of thought and planning has been done over the last two years in preparation for this project and now is the time to shift our ideas from paper to actual bricks and mortar."

"These are exciting times at HCS - a time for us to lay the groundwork for Christian education in Huron County for many years to come," he says.
