Owen Sound Kiwanis Club Continues Support For Sk8 And Bike Park

The Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound has donated another $20,000 installment toward the construction of the Sk8 and Bike Park at Victoria Park.

The club announced a $100,000 donation in 2013 to facilitate the construction of the park, which officially opened in 2014.

The Kiwanis Club calls it a free opportunity for youth to exercise and remain active using the exciting ramps and equipment.

Its one of many projects the club supports, including the Santa Claus Parade, the Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music, the Kiwanis Soccer complex and the Harrison Park accessible playground.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
