Some Stolen Morrison Dam Equipment Recovered

The general manager of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority had some good news for board members this week.

Brian Horner says they've been able to recover a major piece of equipment that was taken in the break-in that occurred at the Exeter office over the August long weekend.

The estimated value of stolen equipment was originally set at around $90,000, but Horner says recovering the equipment they did drops the value down to about $40,000.

Horner adds he can't go into a lot of detail because the investigation is still continuing, but he did say the insurance will cover most of their losses.

Additional security has since been added for the facility at the Morrison Dam.
