Huron Tourism Association To Decide On Their Future

Members of the Huron Tourism Association will be holding a special meeting next week to vote on the their future.

The notice sent out to members points out the HTA has been promoting Ontario's West Coast since 1993, but says recent changes in the structure of economic development in the county have left the association without any authority, or financial/human resources. The association is now in a position of redundancy as a result.

Members are asked to attend a meeting on Tuesday night to vote on a motion that the Huron Tourism Association dissolve.

Association President Kim Burgsma declined to comment further, other than to say a statement would be issued following Tuesday night's vote.
