(BlackburnNews.com photo)Wellington North council has waived the requirement for sidewalks in a proposed new Mount Forest subdivision.
The development is on a cul-de-sac off London Road.
Developer Randy Bye of H. Bye Construction argued he should not be required to install sidewalks that do not link up with existing sidewalks outside the subdivision.
However, Bye has agreed to pay for a portion of sidewalks on London Road as well as contribute $1,000 towards a four-way-stop sign at London and Wellington streets.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
