300 Pot Plants Seized From Minto Field

Wellington County OPP say an unmanned aerial vehicle helped them locate and seize about 300 mature marijuana plants.

Police were called to a Minto property on Wellington Rd. 4 last week when a resident found two large duffel bags of marijuana in his field.

Officer were at the scene speaking with the man when they saw two men running into the bush, and then into an adjoining cornfield.

The Emergency Response Team and Canine unit joined the search, but the suspects were not located.

However, the aerial vehicle helped uncover four separate marijuana plots in the cornfield.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
