UPDATE: Highway 23 Reopened Following Vehicle Crash

A major accident to report on Highway 23.

According to Perth County OPP, a two vehicle crash blocked Highway 23 between Gowanstown and Palmerston for several hours Saturday. The accident was close to the Weed Man store on the highway and blocked both lanes.

A white Dodge Caravan was attempting to make a u-turn when it was struck on the passenger side by a blue Dodge Caravan travelling northbound on Highway 23. There were three adults and three children in the white van, and two adults and three children in the blue van. Two of the children from the white van, a 4-year-old and 5-year-old girl, have been taken to London Hospital with serious injuries. All others involved in the crash have non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP reported that Highway 23 between Lines 89 and 90 reopened around 6pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
