Amputee Honoured By Wellington North Council

A young Wellington North man has been recognized by the War Amps Child Amputee Program and also Wellington North Council.

Lucas Beatty is a graduate of Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest and has gone on towards a career in animation at Algonquin College.  He was born missing his right arm.

Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox praised Lucas for not allowing his disability to slow him down.

Lucas was earlier awarded the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
