Brantford Beats Kitchener In GOJHL Action

Alec Tiley scored the game winner in the second period as Brantford topped Kitchener 3-2.

Jonathan Pace opened the scroring in the final two minutes of the first period for the 99ers. Adam Kawalec and Connor Cole answered for Kitchener in the second. Justin Donnelly scored thy tying goal for Brantford with just over a minute and a half left in the period. Tile scored the game winner with just 12 seconds left in the frame.

Brantford was 2-8 on the pwoer play. Kitchener failed to capitalize with nine attempts.

Cameron Zanussi earned the win with 32 saves. Luke Richarson stopped 23 shots for the Dutchmen.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
