Lincolns Fall to the Vipers

St. Marys held the lead for about six minutes before being overwhelmed by LaSalle in an 8-2 loss to the Vipers.

Dylan Nafziger opened the scoring just over five and half minutes into the first period. Maddux Rychel answered for LaSalle at 12:12 of the opening frame to even the score.

LaSalle broke out for four goals in the second starting with Cale Allen's at 1;44. Brett Primeau scored at 8:51 assisted by Manny Silverio and Nathan Savage.  Zack Hoffman scored unassisted about a minute later. Savage would score for LaSalle at 13:16. The Lincoln's Alessio Luciani netted St. Marys only other goal of the game with five minutes left in the period.

Liam MacDougall scored twice for the Vipers in the third and Tyler Russell also found the back of the Lincolns net.

LaSalle outshot St. Marys 33-22.

The loss leaves the Lincolns in the Western Conference basement with a 2-7 record. LaSalle is second place behind London at 5-2-0-2.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
