Teen Charged In Assault At Grey County Group Home

A teenage boy is facing several charges after two staff members at a group home in Grey County complained of being assaulted.

The OPP responded to the Bluewater Youth and Adult Services Group Home in the Township of Chatsworth Tuesday evening in response to an assault report.

Police arrested a 17-year-old male resident of the facility after their investigation revealed that he allegedly assaulted a female and a male staff member, and had caused damage to property. There were no injuries reported.

The accused was charged with two counts of assault, mischief under $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with sentence order.   He is to return to court on October 18 to answer to the charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
