VanSchubert to be Reassigned

With the return of Michael McNiven from the Montreal Canadiens training camp, the Owen Sound Attack are reassigning Bradley Van Schubert.

In a release the team says McNiven's return made for a crowded crease with three goal tenders: Riley Daniels, McNiven and Van Schubert.

“Looking at where our organization is at today and being that Michael (McNiven) is 19 years old, we felt it was in the teams best interest to go a younger route with Riley.”, said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. “Bradley is a consummate professional and we thank him for everything during his time here.”

Van Schubert was acquired in a trade during the off-season from Guelph and started in the Attack's first three games of the season. The 19-year-old will await a club to be reassigned to in the coming days but will be available to be called up on a fill-in basis.

The Attack begin a northern road swing in North Bay tonight.
