Perth County Students Learn About Manufacturing

Friday is Manufacturing Day in Perth County.

High school students will be touring several manufacturing companies in the county to see what manufacturing looks like, and how it drives our economy.

Listowel Technologies Inc. in Listowel is one of the companies that will host students for Manufacturing Day.

By visiting manufacturing companies, students will be introduced to the career possibilities in the manufacturing sector.

October is manufacturing month in North America.

The Four County Labour Market Planning Board, in collaboration with the County of Perth and the Labour Market Strategy Implementation Committee partners, is celebrating manufacturing excellence in Perth County by touring a variety of companies where students will be exposed to jobs available locally.

"This partnership with the Four County Labour Market Planning Board is a great way for our business community to showcase the unique opportunities we offer in Perth County," says Meredith Forget, economic development coordinator for the County of Perth.
