Small Surplus For Falls Reserve Conservation Area

This past summer has been a good one for the Falls Reserve Conservation Area near Goderich.

Maitland Valley Conservation Authority General Manager Phil Beard explains back in July the board of directors approved a business plan to continue to offer camping services at Falls Reserve but with reductions to some services.

Beard says it now appears the changes they've made will result in a surplus and will allow them to rejuvenate some of the services for next year.

Beard adds great camping weather this summer, as well as their new online reservation service contributed to excellent attendance at the Falls.

The focus next summer will be on providing good camping services but Beard says within the next two or three years they're going to have to upgrade the sewage pumping station, and that will be a major project.
