Owen Sound Police Wrap Up Operation Impact

Owen Sound Police laid 30 Highway Traffic Act charges during Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Police say most of the charges were for speeding and distracted driving.

Other motorists were charged with failure to wear a seatbelt and failing to yield.

In all, Owen Sound officers talked to 276 motorists.

Weekend RIDE programs in Owen Sound did not lead to roadside tests or alcohol breath tests.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
