Monkton Variety Store Robbed

Perth County OPP are investigating a robbery last night at a Monkton Variety Store.

Police say two men entered T & J Variety on Winstanley St. about 7pm Tuesday night and presented a weapon. The culprits then ran southbound with cash, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.

One is about 5'7" tall, with a slim build, wearing a black Puma hooded sweatshirt with bright yellow lining.

The other suspect is 5'11" tall with a solid build, wearing a grey hoody and jeans, wearing an analog watch with a white face.

The OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine, and Forensic Identification Unit are assisting in the case.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
