Staff Moving Out of Owen Sound City Hall

Owen Sound City Hall staff are making the move to the Professional Centre on 3rd Ave. E while renovations occur at City Hall.

Departments are being moved in stages starting Thursday and continuing to the end of the month.

Manager of Property Kristan Shrider says the city is trying to make the move as seamless as possible to avoid service disruptions. However, residents wishing to meet with someone at city hall should call ahead to confirm their location.

Starting in November, substances remediation will begin. Construction is expected to start in early 2017.

The renovation includes a new fire system, new wiring, brick repair, improved accessibility, and improved office structures to ensure efficient service delivery.

The project is expected to last 16 months.
