Lincolns Lose Despite Valiant Goaltending

The London Nationals out shot the St. Marys Lincolns 45-20 en route to a 5-3 win.

St. Marys's Phillip Buque opened the scoring at 8:03 of the second. Brody Smith added another 15 seconds later to put the Lincolns up 2-0. The lead would be short lived. Quinn Lenihan and Austin Kemp scored less than a minute apart to tie the game and Brenden Trottier's power play goal in the final minute of the second put the Nationals up 3-2.

Lenihan gave the Nationals some insurance in the opening minute of the third. Colin Wilson added another at 14:31. Tyson Kielt scored for the Lincolns with 40 seconds left in the game.

Tristan Lewis made 40 saves in a valiant effort for St. Marys. Zack Weir got the win for the Nationals with 17 saves.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
