Train-Pickup Fatality South of St. Marys

An unidentified man was killed early this morning in a train-pickup truck collision east of Thamesford.

EMS from Oxford and Middlesex Counties raced to the scene around 2:00 this morning, and were joined OPP officers and the Zorra Township Fire Department.

A CP train had collided with a pick-up truck that was stopped on the tracks on the 13th Line of Zorra Township.

The lone male in the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The four CP Rail employees who were on the train at the time were not injured.

The investigation continues.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
