Wellington North Writesoff the Ringette Association's Debt

Wellington North has taken the unusual step of writing-off a debt of just over $6,000 by the Wellington North Ringette Association.   The money was owed for ice rental from last winter.

The discussion of the write-off was held behind closed doors, so Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox was unable to provide details of the write off.

He said such a situation does not happen often and in this case the debt resulted from a unique circumstance that that the group had no control over.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
