Durham's Library Re-Opens Saturday

A town crier will be belting out some good news in Durham Saturday morning, for the official opening of the Durham branch of the West Grey Library.

The library has moved from its former old Carnegie building to a larger, accessible space on Garafraxa St. S in Durham. Shelving, books and computers are now in place.

The official opening is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, and there are numerous events throughout the day.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
