Cyclones Suffer Rare Defeat; Skinner Lifts Sugar Kings to Victory

The Listowel Cyclones suffered their second regulation loss of the season in a 4-3 decision to Brampton.

Andrew Borgatti had the winning goal for the Bombers at 12:03 of the third period.

Blair Jenkins scored and added an assist for Listowel. Other scorers were Riley Robertson, and Mitch Deelstra. Ryley Cribbin and Thomas Azzano each had two assists in the loss.

The Bombers were lead by Dante Sheriff who had a pair of goals. Ivan Brewer also scored for Brampton.

Brendon Landry stopped 31 shots to earn the win. Justin Hergott made 15 saves for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones outshot the Bombers 34-19.

Elmira 4 Brantford 1

Ethan Skinner struck twice as the Elmira Sugar Kings beat the Brantford 99ers 4-1.

Jonathan Reinhart stopped 23 shots to earn the win.

Jake Brown had a goal and two assists for Elmira. Kyle Soper had the Sugar Kings fourth goal of the game.

Alec Tiley was the lone scorer for Brantford.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
