North Huron Warning Of Water Fraudsters

The Township of North Huron says door to door water filtration salespeople are falsely implying they work for the township.

Spokesperson Connie Goodall says they may also be making false claims that the water testing and filtration system is mandatory.

She says the township's water is already treated and tested to meet Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standards.

Goodall warns residents to protect themselves from scams by asking for ID, and calling Public Works if there is any doubt.

She adds people should never give out personal information or feel pressured to sign anything.
