Ropp Named Athlete of the Week at Durham

Milverton's Rebecca Ropp is one of Durham College's student-atheletes of the week.

Ropp was named the Championship MVP at the OCAA Women's Softball Championship over the weekend. She was 3-for4 in the final as Durham defeated St. Clair 11-6. It was the  Lord's 18th OCAA title and second straight championship.

Ropp opened the tournament at 2-for-4 with a double and two runs in Durhams 10-3 victory over Fanshawe. She was 1-for-4 in the Lord's 8-4 win over St. Clair that advanced Durham to the championship final.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
