Community Foundation Grey Bruce To Distribute Over $168K In Grants

Community Foundation Grey Bruce will present it's final grants for 2016 this week.

Eight non-profit organizations are receiving capital grants totaling $100,000 for repairs, renovations or updates to their buildings.

Charitable organizations and local initiatives from Tobermory to Kincardine will be presented with cheques to support their efforts to improve their communities.

25 not-for-profit organizations will receive grants totalling $68,322 for projects and programs in health and wellness, education, arts and culture, environment, recreation and poverty reduction.

The reception is Thursday evening at 6pm at the Best Western Inn on the Bay, 2nd Ave. E in Owen Sound.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
