St. Marys Variety Store Robbed

Perth County OPP officers are investigating a robbery Wednesday night in the Town of St. Marys.

Shortly after 9:30pm, a man entered into the M & M Variety Store on Water St. S.  The man threatened the clerk and proceeded to make attempts to access the cash register.

It's not clear how much cash, if any, was taken from the register.  The suspect fled the variety store on foot.

The suspect is described as being a white male, between 20 to 40 years of age, around 5’8” in height, with a slim to medium build.  He was wearing dark clothing and had what was described as a "scruffy appearance."

An OPP Canine Unit and Members from the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team were on the scene in St. Marys to assist with the investigation.
