Perth East Man Killed In ATV Crash

A 51-year-old Perth East man has died while riding his ATV near Mitchell.

Perth County OPP say the man was riding along trails with friends when one of the riders found the victim's ATV lying on its' side, and the lone rider unconscious beside the machine.

Police, paramedics and West Perth firefighters responded to the farm on Perth Line 19 in West Perth about 6:14pm Saturday.

The ATV operator, Robert McDougall, was transferred by ambulance to hospital where he was pronounced dead.     A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
