Record Number of Nominees For Huron 'Spirit of Success' Awards

The Chamber of Commerce for Goderich, Central and North Huron celebrates its annual Spirit of Success Awards Night this Friday night at the White Carnation Restaurant in Holmesville.

Operations Manager Heather Boa says they're particularly excited about this year's event because they have 43 nominations to choose from, compared to 16 last year.

Boa believes the number of nominees reflects the health of the business community this past year, and she notes that in Goderich it seems they had more tourists this summer and generally there was more traffic on the square.

She adds the nominees ranged from store owners who went above and beyond in providing service to their customers to volunteers who enhanced their community.

Winners of the Spirit of Success Awards will be posted on the chamber web site.
