Snowmobiles Stolen In Hensall

Police are investigating after two brand new Yamaha snowmobiles and a snowmobile trailer were stolen in Hensall.

The Ontario Provincial Police say sometime between 1:30pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday, thieves cut the security lock off of the storage trailer at at Brian’s Service Centre on London Rd., and hauled the trailer and the two snowmobiles off the property.

One of the snowmobiles is described as a red and black 2016 Yamaha RTX-DX, valued at $12,700. The other is a red and white 2016 Yamaha SR10LSGR, valued at $13,000.

The trailer is described as a white, 2004 Hyland bubble-top trailer, valued at $5,000. The trailer has a “48” sticker on the one side, and orange/white racing stripes on the other. On the back of the trailer there is an Arctic Cat sticker above the running lights.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
